Kristiansand, Norway — October 2025 — Norwegian Seafood (NS) has signed a long-term supply agreement with leading salmon farmer Bjørøya. Under the agreement, Bjørøya will consistently deliver a significant share of its annual harvest to NS Norway, strengthening the company’s position as a key player in the international salmon market. As a result of this partnership, NS’s total salmon volume will increase to approximately 60,000 tons this year.
In a joint statement, Tim Brouwer, CEO of Norwegian Seafood, and Ole Martin Løfsnæs, Managing Director of Bjørøya, expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration:
“We are pleased to enter this long-term partnership, which allows both parties to grow together and create as much value as possible through the NS platform. By combining our strengths, we can further expand our reach and ensure that more consumers worldwide enjoy sustainably farmed Norwegian salmon.”
The NS platform consists of the export division based in Kristiansand, Norway and 3 processing facilities in Urk, the Netherlands. Through this integrated setup, NS aims to maximize efficiency, quality, and competitiveness.
